Welcome to Week 3 in our Home Tour Series. We’re gonna keep this moving because well…we’re moving in 11 days!!! Just to quickly update you on the move… We’ve had a few roadblocks…the two biggest being that we were away on vacation for 10 Days and just got back two days ago so, it seems like there’s a lot to still get done (because there is!). The second issue is that we’ve had to wait for Scott’s official orders (which arrived yesterday), before we could schedule the movers. Because of that delay, it looks like we may have to rent a POD and do the packing ourselves. Although this isn’t our ideal scenario, we’ll deal with it and be fine!
Welcome To Our Home
So, back to this week’s home tour; our master bedroom. The french doors that you saw last week in our living room open up to our master bedroom. Looking around this room, you can probably tell why it’s our favorite room of the house. First off, it’s pretty darn big! We’ve got plenty of space for our queen size bed with under bed storage (another awesome find from Ikea) and the brick wall as a backdrop is a jaw dropping conversation piece.
I’m also absolutely in love with the paisley bedding that I found on JCPenny.com for like 70% off!! (Coupons people! Always look for online coupons & discount codes!!)
Have I mentioned today how much I LOVE Ross??!!! This clock was only $7.99 at Ross but I love how the scalloped edges make it look way more expensive. On a side note, I never realized how many home accessories come in teal and turquoise until I started searching stores for them.
Our chalkboard top desk was a $20 Craigslist find. It was just a super simple desk (most likely from Target or Ikea). We went to JoAnn Fabric and purchased teal paint for the legs and purple chalk board paint for the top of the table. Scott already had liquid chalk pens and now, this table is a space where we can get crafty anytime we want!
This picture has sat on my nightstand for over a year now. We took it early on in our relationship. There is something about holding Scott’s hand that feels so perfect and safe. And, I love that even when he’s away, I’m reminded of how perfectly we fit together.
Our last item on our tour is just the coolest (I could be a bit bias since I made it!). This was one of Scott’s Christmas gifts from me. I saw a DIY tutorial for this and loved how unique, industrial, and practical it was. “But Tasha, what is it??!!” It’s a watch and ring holder made from a cabinet knob & pull, fabric, and a picture frame. How awesome is THAT??!! It was super easy and most importantly, super cheap (I’m always broke during the holidays). Scott loves it because it gives him a place to put his watch and class ring since he always forgets to take it off before coming to bed.
We’ve got one more room to show you next week and that’s the kitchen! We’d love to hear what some of your favorite features in our home tour have been so comment below and let us know!
